Kenan 5th and Dominique 9th in Estoril moto2 race

The start of the moto2 race in Estoril, Kenan in front and Domi on his right hand side

Kenan Sofuoglu finish in 5th position in Estoril, Kenan has been the star of the show by pulling away in the early stage but a lose left handlebar made the bike more hard to ride and after mid race distance his rear tyre start losing grip so to finish 5th in this condition for his first moto2 race isn't a bad result.
Kenan did crash in the warm up and the team had little time to fix the bike, they  have to change front fork spring and oil level on the grid, they feel very sorry for the mistake made and apologize to Kenan, he should have been there on the podium.

Kenan's rear tyre after the race

Dominique has his first podium in sight but he wasn't the only one to think about it, the late agressive attack from the riders behind cost him to lose a few position and he only could manage to finish 9th.

Kenan Sofuoglu on the front row for first moto2 race, Dominique Aegerter on the second row

Dominique will start from the second row in 8th position, as the qualifying session has been cancelled the grid has been made from the combined free sessions.

Kenan Sofuoglu will start his first moto2 race from the front row, he has been in the top four in all 3 free practices, without no dry session the race may be an hard one if the weather condition is to improve, no data and not even one lap on slicks.

Kenan and Dominique in the top ten at Estoril moto2 free practice 2

Kenan Sofuoglu had to learn a new race track and getting use to the Suter chassis on a wet session in the morning and on a tricky session in the afternoon. As some riders were able to set their time on slicks toward the end, Kenan did set the 4th fastest time on full wet tyres.

Dominique crash in free practice1 but was able to set the 8th fastest time in free practice2 on a drying race track using a front rain tyre and a slick rear tyre.

In Albacete Kenan Sofuoglu got his first taste of the Suter moto2  he will ride in Estoril and Valencia.
The purpose of the test was to get more familiar with a moto2 after spending years in world supersport, a similar engine but quite a different feel from the bike.

De Angelis dedicates victory to Shoya Tomizawa

Alex De Angelis

b“I want to say one thing: I want to dedicate this race to Shoya Tomizawa. I think he was watching from above,” said De Angelis, who along with fellow podium finishers Scott Redding and Andrea Iannone opted not to mark their celebrations with champagne as a mark of respect. “I’m obviously very happy for how the weekend has gone. Pole position and a win in one single race are a good thing and help me re-evaluate a season that has been very difficult for me, and in this happy moment I also want to remember Shoya".

Dominique 13th in Phillip Island

Even the race track wasn't dry for the warm-up the team did collect valuable data, so Dominique did start the race with a setting he didn't even try during the practice.
What to say about the start, just fabulous, from 26th on the grid to 14th in the second corner. Now with more feedback from his bike Dominique start to move up  position, for a couple of laps he was 7th but after a little mistake he lost a few spot, from that he wasn't able to recover but still finish in 13th position.

Dominique down to 26th in the cold and windy P/Island moto2 qualifying.

Cold weather and lots of wind for the moto2 qualifying, it didn't went well for Dominique down to 26th position for tomorow moto2 race here at P/Island so there is some work to do during the warm up to improve our setting.

Dominique 16th in Phillip Island moto2 free practice.

Rain, wind and low temperature, that was the conditions today in Phillip Island but for the moto2  the track dry out so we could have a normal session, still with a strong wind it made it difficult to ride. Dominique set the 16th fastest time, he struggle a little so we will have to improve our bike set up in order to be more competitive.

Result of free practice below

Congratulations to Jorge Lorenzo and Toni Elias 2010 motogp and moto2 world champions

Nice word from the 2010 motogp world champion Jorge Lorenzo

Jorge would you like to dedicate this championship to anyone?

“To my father, to my mother, to my sister. To my family in Majorca, and my family here at the races. To everyone who has helped me get here: Giampiero Sacchi, Dani Amatriain, Lin Jarvis. I dedicate this title to Shoya Tomizawa... he was a great talent and unfortunately he couldn't realize his dream of becoming champion. I also dedicate it to my fans; who love my attributes but also understand my shortcomings and defects."

Dominique Aegerter 8th in Sepang moto2 race

Dominique finish 8th in the heat of Sepang moto2 race, a difficult race but what a start. Dominique was 4th at the first corner starting from 11th on the grid, lost a bit of speed on the first lap but he has a strong race.

Dominique 11th in Sepang moto2 qualifying

Dominique set the 11TH fastest time during the qualifying session, he was hoping for more after setting the 6th fastest time during the free practice two, but a little lack of traction during the qualifying may have cause the loss of performance, still the warm up to find something more for the race.

Dominique 9th in Sepang moto2 free practice

Dominique set the 9th fastest time of Sepang interrupted first moto2 free practice.
The second period of the session has been interrupted by rain spots as a storm passed, all riders had to wait the end of the session to hit the track again.

Dominique 3rd in Sepang kart race

Moving on

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Motegi has been emotionally intense with Shoya’s parents presence and all the ceremonies in his memory.
The most difficult time has probably been on Sunday evening when it was time to leave each other. During the last few days we have been sharing our memories about Shoya from the 2008 Japanese GP in Motegi when the team decided to take Shoya to the world stage to his last days with us, remembering his fabulous win in Qatar.
We all loved Shoya, as a son, a brother and a friend. He is gone taking with him a little bit of us because we all felt special with Shoya.
Shoya is gone and life goes on, he will be forever in our heart and in our memory, his name will be forever associated to our team.

Our activity must go on, soon we will have to annonce Dominique’s team mate name for the last two races in Estoril and Valencia.

Dominique 12ème a Motegi moto2

Dominique finish 12th today in Motegi moto2 race, from the start he couldn't really ride the way he wanted, he was battling in a group from 9th to 14th, he did make a little mistake that did cost him to loose a few position but he was able to retake some position toward the end.

Dominique 12th in Motegi moto2 qualifying

Dominique was disappointed after the moto2 qualifying, he felt he could have done better than 12th position but he got nervous after his first run, at that time he was second fastest and maybe it did put pressure on him.
Still his laptime is good and his rythm too so he has to get a goos start tomorow.
