Bad weather spoil moto2 free practice session


 Kenan 22nd in free practice1 in Estoril set with the hardest tyre, with the softer tyre he was on his way to improve but he did suffer a small crash. He didn't went out in free practice2 because of the poor track condition, a very light rain came just before the start of the session but it never really rain. 

Kenan 22ème en première séance d'essais libre a Estoril réalisé avec le pneumatique le plus dure, en avance sur son temps dans son dernier run équipé du pneumatique plus tendre il a été victime d'une petite chute qui a mis fin a sa séance d'essais. Alors que la deuxième séance allait débuter une très légère pluie est venue perturber le déroulement de celle ci et Kenan a préférer s'abstenir de rouler.

Dominique had a good start in free practice1 setting the 12th best time, in free practice2 he went out on slicks but conditions were far from ideal and he came in just after a few laps.

Dominique a bien commencé son GP en réalisant le 12ème chrono de la première séance d'essais, pour la deuxième séance il a essayé de rouler en pneus slicks mais les conditions étaient un peu trop hasardeuses et il est rentré après quelques tours.

Motegi Unlikely to happen

A though week-end in Jerez

Kenan is getting faster every time and looks he was going to fight for good points, for Dominique some problems with rear grip did arise.

On friday Kenan made some progress and Dominique was struggling with rear grip. On friday night the team reverse to the 2010 chassis for Kenan to find out where was the problem and on Saturday morning Kenan felt that was the way to go, for Dominique little progress were made but not enough, later on for qualifying Kenan had a problem with his front tyre but was able to get faster setting the 12th fastest time, he was a little frustated and annoyed but he felt he could have gone faster, on Dominique side little progress were made and he qualified in 15Th position.
The forecast was annoncing rain for Sunday and it did rain but not heavy rain, for the warm up the track was quite slippery, with rain setting both riders had  mix feeling so changes were made to improve their feeling for the race, unfortunately the changes didn't match the expectations,
Kenan was quite happy with the feeling of the front end of his bike but it seems it did affect too much the rear making him losing traction, the team aknowlegde the set-up was not right, it was the first time they used a different damping for the front fork and even the feeling was right the effect on the balance of the bike was too much .
Dominique was also left frustated, all the week-end he suffer from poor traction, the team will now look at all the datas and will try to bring new solutions to improve the situation.

Kenan was doing good progress during practice, being in the points for most the race he was left outside the  Top 15th toward the end of the race due to poor traction.

With the changes made by the team Kenan did made some progress today and was able to ride more the way he likes, still more to do but at least with the team he has been able to find a direction. Kenan did experience chatter in his first two attempt and had to go back to a used front tyre to solve the problem, with a lot of laps on the front tyre there were little grip left but Kenan manage to improve with it on his last lap setting the 12th fastest time, he will start from the 4th row.


Dominique was a little bit disappointed with his performance struggling with rear grip all session, he manage to set the 15th best time and look forward to the warm up which will be the last opportunity to improve the setting. Dominique will start from the 5th row.

Hard day work in Jerez de la Frontera

Kenan 14th and Dominique 19th in FP2 practice in Jerez.
It has been an hard and intense day of work at Jerez for the moto2 friday practice, Kenan did spend time doing long run to get more feel from his bike, he was not too fast in the morning session being one of the rider not using the softer tyre. With strong wind and less grip from the race track things went a little better in the afternoon when he used the softer tyre for the first time so he was able to get closer to the fastest rider but still not yet at home with his bike, after practice the team decide to do a major change for tomorow FP3 practice.
 Dominique struggle at the beginning with the harder tyre so he quickly change for the softer one and he was able to lap a a good pace, in the afternoon he did try again the harder tyre hoping for an improvment but didn't work so he went back to the softer tyre already used in the morning practice, it went better but it was harder to ride with the strong wind.

 Kenan has been working hard to improve the feeling of his bike.

 Dominique had a good pace in morning practice, not happy with the strong wind in the afternoon.
Dominique avait un bon rythme ce matin mais moins heureux dans la séance de l'après midi a cause du vent.
