Après deux mois sans motos mais travaillant sur les équipements divers (canopy, flight-cases, pit-box stand) le team a reçu un des nouveaux chassis Suter MMX, il manque encore des pièces mais tout devrait être a l'atelier a temps pour avoir les deux motos complètes pour les premiers essais Irta a Valence en Espagne le 8/9 et 10 fevrier prochain.
After two months without bikes but working on the equipment (canopy,crates, and new pit-box) the team got one of the 2012 Suter MMX2 chassis, some parts are still missing but everything should be at the workshop in time to get the two bikes ready for the first Irta test in Valencia the 8/9 and 10 of february.

Bike 70 va renaître de ses cendres

Francis Boutet le créateur de Bike70 avait décidé de fermer le site suite a divers problèmes liés a des photos publiées sur facebook, avec l'appui d'amis le site va repartir et c'est un bien.

Les GP motos et les courses moto en général aujourd'hui sont très populaires, ce site Bike70 a pour but de rendre hommage a une partie de tous ces pilotes, acteurs animateurs de courses de motos, non pas pour vivre dans le passé mais pour vivre avec car c'est aussi une source d'inspiration pour nos pilotes actuels ou en devenir.

BIKE 70 new

Que de messages, que de mails, merci pour votre soutien etvotre compréhension. Je ne vais pas m’étendre sur tout ce qui s’est passé, jevais juste vous annoncer qu’il y a un grand espoir de voir renaitre le siteBIKE 70 … En effet j’ai reçu un coup de téléphone de Jacques Bolle (via leDirecteur de la communication de la FFM, Pierre Bonneville) et son messageétait clair « BIKE 70 ne doit pas disparaître et la FFM fera tout pour cela …». Comment alors na pas réfléchir à tous vos messages et comment ne pas essayerde trouver une solution, aidée par toute l’équipe de la FFM … notamment par lesjuristes … J’ai alors donné ma parole à Pierre de tout faire pour que BIKE 70soit rouvert et je remercie le Président jacques Bolle pour son intérêt et sadétermination à nous aider à faire revivre le site. Mais avant la réouverturedu site j’ai un très gros travail de mise à jour à faire.

Nous allons également mettre en place un protocole amiableavec les contributeurs (photographes, vidéastes ou rédacteurs) afin que leschoses soient le plus clair possible. Précision importante, ce protocole serajuste une autorisation de diffusion des clichés, vidéos et articles et ne serapas un protocole d’exclusivité les contributeurs pourront ainsi continuer àjouir pleinement de leur droit sur les photos, textes ou vidéos …. Donc si vousvoulez faire partie de l’aventure faites nous le savoir.

La FFM apportera tout son soutien au site (juridique,hébergement etc …), mais veut que la ligne éditoriale reste sur le même ton …par contre je ne veux plus être seule à porter le « bébé », aussi comme surFacebook, je serai aidé par Jean Claude Jacq et François Gomis.

Ma sensibilité me pousse parfois à des extrêmespréjudiciables pour le site, j’ai donc décidé qu’à partir d’aujourd’hui, toutesles décisions concernant le site se fera en collaboration avec PierreBonneville pour la FFM, François Gomis, Jean Claude Jacq et moi-même pour BIKE70.

R.Rolfo signe avec le Technomag-CIP moto2

Le team Technomag-CIPmoto2 a conclu un accord avec R.Rolfo pour la saison 2012, Roberto retrouvera donc la categorie moto2 et la dernière évolution de la Suter MMX, machine qu'il connait bien puisqu'il a participé au développement de celle en 2009, R.Rolfo également auteur d'une très belle victoire au guidon de cette moto2 lors du GP de Malaisie 2010.
R.Rolfo is joining the Technomag-CIPmoto2 team for 2012 to ride alondside D.Aegerter, he will go back to the moto2 class on a Suter MMX moto2 machine, winner of the moto2 2010 Malaysian GP Roberto was helping Suter racing to develop the machine during 2009.

Dominique Aegerter 3rd in Valencia moto2 race

Dominique Aegerter finish the moto2 season on a high, since Motegi Domi has shown good speed, last race in Sepang he finish 5th setting very good lap time, qualifying 7th was the starting for today's race, from the start Dominique went to the front and leads the first lap, battling all the way he was able to push toward the end of the race to challenge M.Kallio for the second spot.

His 3rd place today move him up to 8th in the final standing.

Kenan's last race with the team didn't went the way he wanted, moving quickly from 29th on the grid he was up to 10th on the second lap but as more drop of rain came down he start to struggle and losing position, he end up in a low 21th position.

Now Kenan will move on to a new challenge and we want to wish him the best for 2012.

It has been a day with tricky track conditions, if the track was drying in the morning free practice the second practice was wet with poor grip level.
Kenan 7th in FP1 did suffer a crash without consequence meanwhile Dominique 5th in the FP1was struggling with rear grip but toward the end of the session after new set-up changes he was able to improve to end up in 16th position.

Motogp final round at Valencia

The Motogp season will come to a conclusion this week-end in Valencia where the final round of the campaign will take place on the Ricardo Tormo circuit ( see our INSIDE magazine).

As our thoughts are still with Marco's Simoncelli family and friends, the motogp community will have to refocus on racing with plenty of positions to be decided.

For every rider it will be the last opportunity to show their skill and to get the best result.

For Dominique the challenge is to finish in front of his direct opponent for a top ten finish in the ranking, his recent result at Sepang show us the potential is there, but it is hard work of motivation determination and commitment.

Last year it was Kenan's second race with the team, this year it is the last one for him and for us as a team but this won't stop us to do our best we can to finish on a high note.

Maybe the fact of being in front of the field put pressure on Dominique shoulder and for the qualifying session he was unable to get back on the same rythm he was before, the track had lost some grip and this as somehow being a disturbing fact for most of the riders, Kenan did suffer front end grip that took away some confidence, by the end of the practice he start to get better but got held off during his best lap, more set-up change for the warm to try to resolve grip issue.

After setting the fastest time in morning practice 1 Dominique Aegerter confrim this afternoon ending the session in 3rd position, Kenan Sofuoglu for his first visit setting the 14th time of the day.

So far the weather has been bettert than expected so let hope it remain the same for tomorow and sunday.

Dominique had a difficult race, struggling with rear grip and the strong wind we often have in P/Island but was able to score points with a 12th position finish.

He remains 11th in the standing

Kenan had a good fight in P/Island, he struggle with rear grip at the begining of the race but from mid race it got better so he was able to lunch attack on the riders in front of him and finish in 6th position.

Kenan Sofuoglu missing out pole position at P/Island

It has been a great qualifying session for Kenan down under, with the rain interrupting the qualifying session it was all set for plenty of drama, Kenan was holding the third position for most of the session before coming into the pits and waiting for the track to dry out, with few minutes remaining he went out again and set the best time of the session and almost look set to be on front row but he miss out as other riders were improving too.

Kenan miss out the pole for 0,155 sec and end up in 5th position.

Until the qualifying session Dominique has been struggling with front end problem and poor rear grip, with major set-up changes he was able to improve his lap time and feeling but get caught with the rain, so after coming into the pits he found himself down in 21th position so as soon the track start drying out he was the first one to go on slicks and lap after lap was improving his lap time, he will start from 13th position.

Journée de travail pour le duo du Technomag-CIP a Phillip Island, Dominique et Kenan se sont plains d'un manque de grip a l’arrière et un manque de sensation dans leur train avant, des progrès on étés fait mais pas suffisamment pour se rapprocher des hommes de têtes,de nouveaux réglages a essayer sont prévus pour la troisieme séance d'essais demain matin.

Good race from Dominique at Motegi, he had a good start and was able to run in seven position for most of the race, toward the end he got pass by B.Smith but was able to keep up with him, a last lap effort saw him closing the gap but wasn't enough, a 8th position finish allow him to collect more points and moving up in the standing.

Kenan had a good start and had a good pace, lost a couple of position and on lap nine outbrake himself sending him out of the track, he went back on track in 24th position and move up the field to finish19th.

Dominique qualified 9th behind championship leader S.Bradl but has a good pace, struggle a little with front end pushing

Misfortune for Kenan, after a good start his bike stop on track with electrical problem, by the time we got the bike back in the pits there were less than 5 minutes to fix it and get another flying lap. the whole process cost him 20 minutes of track time, he was able to improve to set the 19th fastest time of the day

Dominique shows good speed today, he was fast from the morning session and kept improving in the afternoon, still some more adjustment to make to try to improve his feeling.

Kenan discover Motegi this morning, he did made some mistake trying to understand how to go fast on this track, but made good progress throught the session, he should be able to go faster tomorow.

Dominique wanted a special gift for his birthday, been fastest for most of the session and end up 4th

T.Koyama race was hampered by chatter, something he didn't experience during practice so he was quite disapointed about it, the strong wind has been also a factor pushing sometime the bike off line.

It has been an hard work at Aragon for both rider, since the morning session Dominique has been struggling with the set-up of his Suter MMX, not getting the confidence he needs for pushing harder, different set-up is on the menu for the warm-up.

T.Koyama on his side made some progress but the pace here has been really fast, as Dominique the warm-up will be usefull to try to improve the situation.

Dominique pushing hard, very good and constant lap-time

All practice have been difficult for Dominique suffering from a lack of confidence in the front tyre and a loss of speed, if the team was able to solve the problem for the speed the problem with the front end was still there for the warm-up. The team did some little change for the race but the outcome was difficult to figure out.
Dominique start from 29th position, had a good start but the first corner was a hard one to got throught, for a couple of laps it seems the front problem was still there but soon Dominique began to get a better feel and start to push and lap time soon come with it, lap after lap he pick up the pace and gain position to finish in 13th position.

Good race from Tomoyoshi Koyama for his first moto2 race in WGP

Tomoyoshi Koyama experience his first moto2 race due to Kenan Sofuoglu injuries, riding in the Spanish championship he was already familiar with the Suter MMX, practice after practice he was able to make progress. For the race he had a good start but lose time at the first corner to avoid the crash in front of him, he runs a very constant laptime end ends up in 20th position after 26 laps on a very hot and humid weather conditions.
Kenan Sofuoglu may return for Aragon if his right foot allow him to do so, so far he still have pain but still more than 10days before the race so let's hope he will be fine.

Misano moto2 FP2 practice

Mix feeling today at Misano, Dominique struggle a little with rear grip and suffer speed loss so lap time wasn't too good this afternoon, the team spend a lot of time looking at data during the evening and they hope suspension change and electrical parts at fault being replaced to help for FP3

Tomoyoshi Koyama riding alongside Dominique for this week-end instead of injured Kenan Sofuoglu did quite well for his first day, Tomo san is a light weight riders so his top speed is good.

Dominique 8th in Indy moto2 qualifying

It has been a good session for Dominique today at Indy for the qualifying session, from the start Dominique keep pushing and improving his lap time ending up in 8th position.

Tyres will be an issue tomorow for the race, the race track keep improving too in moto2 with 38 riders cleaning the track lap after lap.

Coming back from the hospital where surgeon fix his broken bone with four screws in his right foot Kenan Sofuoglu spend some time with us this afternoon. It may take up to one month before he could ride again.

The Technomag-CIP duo finish in the top ten in Brno moto2 race, it has been a difficult week-end for both riders but they did give all they have during the race.

Dominique fight quite hard to finish 8th

Kenan experience a difficult week-end suffering chatter problem, the team did try differents set-up but couldn't solve the problem, now looking forward to Indianapolis

More work for the Technomag-CIP duo in their quest to get a good result in the Brno moto2 race, the changes made for the qualifying practice were not enough for better lap time so the warm-up will be important to try again different set-up.

Dominique qualified in 12th position following by Kenan in 13th position, on a drying morning session the order was the other way around with Kenan in 4th place and Dominique in 5th.

Busy day at Brno for the Technomag-CIP duo

A busy day at Brno today, Kenan Sofouoglu wasn"t happy with the bike set-up in the morning session, he had a better start in free practice 2 improving his lap time but start to struggle due to chatter.

Dominique Aegerter had a quiet first practice session, in free practice 2 he felt better with the set-up change made on his bike and sart to go faster, he did lost a few place toward the end of the practice but was quite happy with the bike.

Kenan struggle with chatter today, team did some suspension change but looks most of the chatter is from engine brake so wait and see tomorow morning to see if he can improve

Dominique had a decent free practice 1 and start to improve in free practice 2, he was 4th fastest 10 minutes before the end of practice

Devant le refus de pilotes de motogp d'aller au Japon une recherche faite par un organisme indépendant va faire son rapport pour savoir si il y a risques ou pas d'y aller, ceci concernant les risques au niveau de la santé.

C.Espeleta rappelle que Dorna a un contrat avec le circuit de Motegi et que si le circuit n'annule pas le GP ils n'on aucun droit de la supprimer.

Pour mémoire voici comment fonctionne les GP motos.

Dorna qui a les droit du motogp organise avec differents promoteurs les GP.

Dorna a un contrat avec l'IRTA qui est l'association des teams 125, moto2 et motogp.

Les teams ont un contrat avec l'Irta

Les pilotes ont un contrat avec les teams.

1) Le pilote est tenu d"honorer son contrat envers le team

2) Le team est tenu d'honorer son contrat envers l'Irta

Dans le cas ou le GP n'est pas annulé et que certains pilotes refusent d'y aller le team pourra remplacer le pilote comme comme dans le cas d'une blessure.

Sachsenring moto2 race result

Kenan finish 11th and Dominique 12th in Sachsenring moto2 race.

It was a hard race but both riders fight really hard to score points.
A difficult and frustating week-end for the riders and team, the team was not able to fix the problem with rear grip Kenan and Dominique were facing, they did try many different set-up but nothing works.
Kenan could have finish higher than 11th but he missread the sign board, thinking he still have more laps to go he was waiting for a late charge and got surprised to see the chequered flag coming up.
Dominique on his side never gave up and he was able to pick up a few position to finish 12th.

It has been a hard day for the Technomag-CIP pair, so close and so far away, because you may think being 1 second slower isn't a big deal but in moto2 in Sachsenring you are far away from the leader.

Both Kenan and Dominique have been struggling with rear grip, some major changes for tomorow morning are planned to help them.

Kenan Sofuoglu and Dominique had a good fight today in Mugello, Kenan lost a little bit of ground at the start as Dominique fly to 15th in the first corner from the 30th position on the grid.

Toward the end of the race Kenan was pushing harder to get the 6 position setting the second fastest lap of the race in 1'53''515 but he outbrake himself and got pass by 4 riders during the last lap, he will end up 10th right in front of Dominique who came a long way and even got pass Kenan during the race, a rear tyre losing grip and showing some little blister prevent hinm to fight for more but it has been an overall good result for the team seeing his both riders scoring points today.

After a good FP3 which saw Kenan and Dominique 5th and 6th the team was hoping for a good show but the rain came and it went all wrong. Our riders will need to get a good start for tomorow's race

Kenan was fast on the wet but a rear tyre change for the last run prevent him to went faster, he was disappointed because he knew he could have gone faster if he had been staying on the track with the other tyre, he will start from 13th

Dominique still struggling on the wet, he needs to spend more time on track to get his confidence back, he qualify a low 30th

After having the podium in sight in Barcelona and Silverstone Kenan was happy to get his first podium finish.

Kenan leads the field for a few laps battling with B.Smith and M.Marquez, toward the end as a light rain comes again Marquez was able to built a gap to win the race, Kenan kept pushing and was able too to built a gap with Smith and finishing a comfortable second.

News from Julian Simon

Kenan Sofuoglu was involved in a crash with Julian Simon in Catalunya, Kenan misdjuged Julian's speed corner entry and made contact with him, Julian broke his leg in the crash.

Julian is now out of hospital and began reabilitation, he is now walking with crutches.

The team send him a message of symphaty hoping to see him to come back to racing soon.

After Shoya's death last year Julian came to see Shoya's parents in Motegi, so we don't forget his gesture and wish him a quick recovery.

Durant le GP de Catalunya Kenan a chuté avec Julian Simon, Kenan a mal apprécié la vitesse d'entrée en courbe de Julian et l'a heurté, les deux ont chutés et Julian s'est cassé la jambe.

Julian est maintenant sorti de l'hôpital , il marche avec des béquilles et a déjà commencé la rééducation.

L'équipe lui a envoyé un message de sympathie pour l'encourager et nous espérons le revoir bientôt sur les circuits. L"an dernier après le décès de Shoya, Julian était venu rencontrer les parents de Shoya a Motegi, nous n'oublions pas son geste et lui souhaitons un prompt rétablissement.

Dominique didn't wear any rain suit to protect himself from the cold water, after a few laps he was frozen

Kenan during the race, after the race he was frozen too, like Dominique he didn't wear rain suit.

Kenan Sofuoglu has his first podium in sight during the Silverstone moto2 race, he was on a comfortable second position but start to push more after seeing the gap to S.Bradl going down to less than 3 second but it didn't last and Kenan lost control of his machine with 7 laps to go, Kenan pick up his bike and rejoined the race in 11th place keep pushing and was able to finish the race and scoring his first 2011 moto2 points with the 8th place.

Dominique never got a good feeling from his machine on the difficult conditions of the Silverstone track, beeing trap in a group in which he struggle to find his own line, he ends up in 20th position.

Kenan has the second place under control but crash out as he was closing on S.Bradl, after the crash he went back on track to finish 8th.

Kenan 13th said there is room for improvment.

Dominique struggle for the official practice, a difficult race ahead for tomorow

If the 3rd free practice was good for our riders it went a different way for the official practice, Kenan 10th fastest in FP3 ends up in 13th position but the worst was for Dominique ending the session 31st after being 8th in the morning. The team will look at the data to find out what went wrong for Dominique.

The weather forecast doesn't look good for tomorow with rain and cold temperatures, the moto2 race will start 1 hour earlier and will be the first race of the day following by motogp and 125cc.

Cold wet and windy Silverstone moto2 practices

Not much to say today, if the first practice was on a dry racetrack the second practice was useless, it was wet for the motogp but it start to dry and by the time the moto2 went on track there it was drying even faster except for a few corners so it became a waiting game.

Kenan and Dominique wait until the last ten minutes before going out, Dominique did spend a couple of laps more than Kenan so he was able to find dryer line. Looking at the lap-time this session didn't help for the bike set-up so wait and see tomorow.

First laps of the race,Dominique had a good start and Kenan was cacthing.

Before incidents occured it was good to see both Technomag-CIP riders together

After collidding with Julian Kenan wet to him to apologize. Kenan saw Julian starting to struggle with rear grip and Kenan was catching but he misdjuged Julian speed going into the corner and touch his rear wheel.

Later on the team did check Kenan's race data, Kenan was doing the same speed and line as his previous laps.

This morning on the wet Kenan was fast during the warm-up setting the 3rd fastest time, so he was hoping for the rain but it didn't happen as the race track start to dry out during the 125cc race, Dominique was a little slower but the feeling from the bike was not too bad. As the race start both Dominique and Kenan found themself in the leading group and soon we could see our riders lapping together in 4th and 5th position.
But it wasn't going to last, with 8 laps to go to Dominique lost the front end of his Suter machine while he was figthing for the 5th place, moment later Kenan clip the rear wheel of J.Simon while in 3rd position, that was a nasty crash, unfortunately Julian Simon broke his femur and Kenan was sending to hospital to check his wrist previously broken in the past.
Kenan is very sorry for Julian, he misdjuged Julian speed going into the corner and couldn't avoid him.

Kenan set the 3rd fastest lap of the race.
